I worked for the RCS BNP Paribas Group for 18 years & 3 months. I started as an Accounts Receivable clerk & evolved into the positions of Accounts Receivable Manager, Operational Assistant Accountant, Finance Project Co-Ordinator, facilitating between the Project Office, IT & Finance areas. My last role was in IT, as the IT Project Manager. I completed studies in Financial ****@*****.*** Peninsula University of Technology, which I regard as a background integral to any field. I obtained my diploma end of 2012. Due to my involvement in testing & projects in 2012, I decided to pursue my passion for projects. In March 2015 I completed a Business Analysis short course, gaining valuable insights as to drafting Business Requirements documentation. Most importantly it gave me a better understanding on how to effectively engage & recommend solutions to enable an organisation to achieve its goals, whether strategic or functional. In 2016 I completed a Certificate Programme in Project Management Practice, which equipped me to plan, lead, execute, report on- & complete projects within organisations. Since 2011 I was involved in Projects, as Project Co-Ordinator & Accountant for the Finance team. This sharpened my strong sense of organisational & co-ordination skills in managing a project testing team. I facilitated workshops & meetings with internal & external vendors, & learnt techniques of negotiation, in order to find win-win situations between various departments & external vendors, always ensuring the company’s critical path is met. This built productive & sustainable relationships between the various business units & external vendors. My motto is to work smarter, not harder & to strategically enable a company’s systems & staff compliment to accommodate for it too. In 2012 I received a "YOUNG STAR" award, as acknowledgement of the amazing work I put into one of our company's biggest Retail projects. In 2013 I was entrusted with heading up an even bigger project & in 2014 I received the “EXECUTIVES’ PLAYER OF THE YEAR” award, as acknowledgement of my integral role. This project was to increase expansion & sales growth within retail stores across South Africa & Africa. The company’s retail cards are now available for use across more than 25 000 stores across South Africa, Namibia & Botswana. In 2015 there was a BIG move towards taking over the JD Group & I was part of this project. My project team received the “FINANCE PROJECT TEAM OF THE YEAR” award. During many of the projects I was also responsible & accountable for the normal business as usual operations within my area/team, ensuring continuity, productivity & daily/weekly/monthly KPI’s were met & for this I received recognition for “SOMEONE WHO HAS GONE THE EXTRA MILE” award in 2016. I participated in the company’s sports socials, testament to my passion for working within the company & living the RCS values. In my spare time & for fun, I was part of the Social Committee arranging socials & team building events. I assisted the Wellness Team with Wellness initiatives (Discovery / Wellness Day, yoga, boxing & Zumba classes) & helped garner support to these office benefits, advertising the wellness initiatives, benefits & assisting members with sign on declarations, etc. I have always believed that a healthy, positive mind produces a healthier person / spirit.
