With a Bachelor of Science (BSC) Honors in Quantity Surveying with +-8 years’ experience in post construction - I have been fortunate enough to work and assist in a variety of projects throughout South Africa in residential, commercial, and industrial activities. My approach in my career is one in which practical knowledge was of utmost importance to understand construction at ground level. Throughout the years I have always been involved more in the project management role to thoroughly understand contractors and sub-contractors’ roles, timelines and pricing structures. Whilst adaptable and flexible to different environments across many responsibilities my key strengths are building and executing project strategies, delivering in technical knowledge, leading in negotiations and sourcing aptitude to develop and implement creative solutions. I am a proven leader, an enthusiastic hard worker and self-motivated driven individual. I have pursued avenues in asbestos encapsulation and thermal insulation as they were items involved in my research proposal carried out in my honors year at university. I believe the next step in my career is to apply for my RICS registration to become a registered professional in Quantity Surveying.
