As Finance and HR Manager, you will be a practical decision-maker, able to prioritize resources to effectively advance company goals.
Our client, fast growing manufacturing company that deals with B2B sales is looking for an outstanding Finance and HR Manager to be based in Mlolongo, Nairobi. The ideal candidate will lead key accounting and finance functions, key human resource functions and develop and lead a high performing finance and HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build upon existing systems, processes & policies to ensure key admin functions run smoothly.
- Ensure adequate controls are in place to support judicious use of company resources.
- Manage short-term cash flows, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and receipts from customers.
- Manage balancing inflows and outflows.
- Oversee and verify key reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Ensure timely financial data and reports are available to support senior management decision making.
- Ensure a clear recruiting process is in place & hiring managers receive support in sourcing & shortlisting candidates.
- Set up new employees for success through comprehensive training and on-boarding.
- Develop and support company-wide performance management processes.
- Ensure proper HR compliance and recordkeeping.
- Invest in coaching and development of your team.
- Hire and coach new talent into the finance & HR teams in line with the company’s expansion strategy.
Qualification:
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a finance role.
- Must have deep professional knowledge of finance and accounting.
- Must have experience in issues of compliance and control.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience managing individuals in finance, accounting, HR/admin roles.
- Must have significant exposure to HR admin and a working knowledge of labour regulations
- Must have a proven track record of motivating and developing your direct reports.
- Must be highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Have a passion for bringing order through systems and processes.
- Have an entrepreneurial streak and have drawn energy from working in a young company.
- You are confident in your own ability to perform and inspire others to perform.
- You possess a strong analytical toolkit, and you frequently apply quantitative analysis to decision-making.
